Amalgamated Racing: Bringing Competition and Value to Bookmakers

Turf TV has signed former jockey and television presenter, John Francome, as the channel’s official ambassador.

Francome who presented Turf TV at the recent Betting Show where he helped promote the brand and the importance of the service it provides to the horse racing industry.

The alliance with Francome comes as Turf TV prepares for the launch of its full service. From January 1 2008, it will provide licensed betting shops with televised coverage of racing from 31 UK racecourses best race courses including Ascot, Cheltenham, Haydock, Goodwood, Epsom and Newmarket.

Francome’s role includes both on and off-screen activity. He will act as an ambassador and spokesperson for the channel to both the public and the media. On-screen, he will present a regular feature which provides punters with top tips.

John Francome said: “Turf TV adds a new dimension to betting shop services. They are already doing a great job covering six courses and I am looking forward to the full launch of the service in January - quality coverage from quality courses - it should be good for punters.”
