News: 26th February 2007

From 2008, AMRAC has announced that it has EXCLUSIVE licenses to the racing from 30 of the UK’s best race courses including, Cheltenham, Epsom, Newmarket, Newbury, Goodwood, Aintree and York.

What are some key points of the AMRAC service?
• AMRAC’s betting shop service (from 1st April 07) begins with EXCLUSIVE racing from Newbury, Chester, Goodwood, York and Bangor, providing pictures and data through to the end of 2007. These racing meetings WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FROM SIS, nor will the betting shows.

• From January 2008 AMRAC’s betting shop service will be extended to include EXCLUSIVE racing from a total of 30 courses, coupling those above with racing from premium courses like Cheltenham, Newmarket, Aintree, Epsom, Sandown and 20 other courses. Once again THESE RACE MEETINGS will not be available from SiS, nor will the betting shows.

• In 2007 these 30 tracks will account for 615 meetings with the 2008 programme expected to be higher. From past experience the bookmaking industry has historically recorded the highest level of horserace betting shop turnover from these meetings.

• Our service will include any races that are being shown on BBC or Channel 4, therefore removing the necessity to switch between channels in order to provide coverage of the full meeting.

• From 1st January 2008 the AMRAC service will also include a full suite of virtual content, and numbers games.

What does this mean to me?
If you want to keep your betting shop competitive and maintain your turnover whilst giving the customer what he wants, then you need the AMRAC service!

You may have heard that much of the AMRAC content will be available via ‘free to air television’, this is not true and in fact ‘free to air races’ this year will only account for approximately 136 races from 624 races expected at these tracks.

The Program?
So that there is no confusion about what content is available from SIS and AMRAC we have listed separately the content offerings and the current pricing for each service.

We hope you will agree that the service offered by AMRAC is not only essential content but reduces the cost of supply when compared to the SIS offer.

What do I do next?
